The Humboldt and District Museum and Gallery welcomes everyone to come and enjoy our displays. 

 

Hours of Operation

August to June: Tuesday to Saturday from 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

July and August: Tuesday to Saturday from 10:00 a.m. noon, closed for lunch, open 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. 

*Closed on all statutory holidays

 

Admission

 

Admission is by donation. Your donation will be used to help support programs, exhibits and services.

 

Location

 

The Humboldt and District Museum is located at 602 Main Street.

The Humboldt and District Gallery is located at 601 Main Street.

The Original Humboldt Site access area is open to the public all year round and is located 8 km west of the city of Humboldt on Highway #5, and 3 km south on “Telegraph Road.”

The Water Tower is located at 407-3rd Avenue.

Public Art is located throughout the City of Humboldt - keep an eye out for the beautiful silhouette murals created by Humboldt artist, Urban Lukan, along with the Canada 150 mosaic! 

 

Accessibility and Parking

 

The Museum and Gallery are equipped with wheelchair accessible entrances, washrooms, and elevators to all public floors.

Free street parking is available for both buildings.

The Original Humboldt site has an access area available for parking. Please note that a grid road must be taken to visit this site. This site is unattended therefore no washroom facilities are available.

Browse through our gift shops for that unique Saskatchewan item created by professional artists, local artisans and authors. We offer a selection of Humboldt souvenirs such as postcards, pins, mugs, books, prints, and much more.

Kids can check out items such as pencils, small toys, pinwheels, old-fashioned toys and delicious candy sticks.

The Museum and Gallery offer consignment for merchandise. If you have items that you would like us to consider selling, please contact us.

In celebration of Humboldt’s centennial in 2005, Museum staff assembled the commemorative book 100 Interesting Stories, which captures the essence of life in our city by sharing 100 captivating stories about Humboldt.

The book reveals many remarkable facts and facets of the lives of Humboldt and area residents from 1878 to 2005.

100 Interesting Stories will have you on the edge of your seat with 205 pages of humourous tales and adventurous histories, interspersed with historic photographs of Humboldt and area. For only $16 + gst (plus shipping if applicable), you can own a piece of Humboldt’s history.
